Being Right

Being right. How important is it? As a child, you only listen to your heart. There is no consideration of right and wrong. The two of you love each other and you wanna kiss each other, u go ahead and do it. Are there any regrets about your first kiss? They are in your memories forever! You held somebody’s hand. Are there any regrets? No! You don’t have any regrets in your heart about whatever you have done. But society has created its own rules. You don’t know how to answer that society. They may start blaming you. They may say you are characterless. They may say you are the one who was after it. It was only your mistake. And then, your life is full of consideration for what others think. It is full of fear. You stop living your own life. You start finding happiness when people are happy with you. Isn’t it all fake? When we do something which brings joy, without hurting anyone else, should it all not be good? The person may however propagate it. You do put your respect at stake. It is all so risky. Love is so risky. It can betray you anytime. But isn’t it the only trustworthy thing in this world? We are human beings. To err is human. And we are not even sure what erring is! We are bound by the rules of the society. It is natural and acceptable to do what comes naturally. Trying to control our nature may lead to further complications. Isnt it all about being natural, being open? Is freedom not about being able to think, speak and act freely. And when that freedom starts being a part of us, we start blooming, we start being one with the nature. It needs courage. Being free doesn’t even mean to go to the other extreme. It just means that you be as you are.
