The first baby step to Self Realization

So many times it happens that we are not sure of what we want. We are not sure about ourselves. We dont know about ourselves!

The word self realization - means to realize oneself. To know exactly what we are.. to know our true self.

It is said that we are all an image of God. When we try to understand who we are, try to understand both our qualities and shortcomings, accept them and know ourself exactly in the current state, we have already taken a step closer to Him within us and then slowly and steadily, the realization of the self with dawn!

Present

There was this early man
He would wake up in the morning
hunt in the jungles
gather some food and eat and sleep happily at night

There are our rishis and munis
with the least requirements from material world,
they spend their days in complete bliss

And there we are!
we toil hard day and night
we worry about our present, past and future
and we are still unsatisfied.

Ramakrishna and Yogananda,
never interested in mundane education,
which focuses on success in outside world,
were always in divine ecstacy!
the education of self realization,
of exploring the divine is what gave them bliss.

We, the modern man,
so knowledgeable
is yet to learn to be happy and content.
Regardless of our accumulations,
we are still incomplete!
We imagine of that happiness in future
and keep struggling in the present.

The PRESENT is all that we have.
Past was present some time back
Future will be present sometime later
So, enjoy the present,
Explore and discover yourself NOW!!!

Someday

Days come and days go..
Without the feel of comforting nights in between
Intruding into the calmness of star embedded nights
Through the hassle of ever building pressures
Making us lose their count
Making us crave for that old calm and peace
The simplicity of joy, laughter and being..
Why is man suffering so much!?
Why cant we break those shackles and reside in peace?
We are just flowing with the flow
With the river of life
In anticipation of being one with the ocean

With each lesson learnt, I can claim every mistake as mine

Nothing remains forever

Only change is permanent in life

One has to let go..
