VOID - Dated 17 Sep 2009

Togetherness.. cherish the moments when you are bestowed with them
For these too are a gift of God
However, in this world, everything keeps changing
For they say – change is the only thing permanent in life…
But there is another companion
Very silent… Very faithful…
Just waiting to be heard…
Unchanging…..

All the emptiness that has been created
By people leaving us
By things discarded
Be thankful to it…
For it helps you to find your true friend
The VOID.

And in this void, try to stay
Try to listen to it
And there you will find
Your true friend..
all your answers lying
and calmness and peace
away from the chaos of this world
and it will, someday help you realize your true self!
VOID IS WHEN NOTHING IS.

Wisdom and Non-attachment

Sometimes, I just wonder, what if God comes to me and asks for a wish.. What will it be that I ask from him... When i was small, all i could think about was love. When i think about Swami Vivekananda, he went to Kali Ma thrice and everytime asked only for Gnana and Vairagya. Gnana is knowledge and Vairagya is non-attachment. There is a tendency to get attached when in love. I just wonder sometimes, is it possible to be in love and still be unattached... and this brings me back to square one.. the fundamental question - what is love?! When it happens between two people of opposite sexes, it is generally based on attraction. The attraction could be to body or to qualities. When the attraction is due to the good qualites, the quality of love will be higher. This love carries an element of excitement with it, restlessness with it... It is a nice feeling but it cant last forever and the attachment starts as soon as it starts fading away. May be the problem is this attachment. One has to accept that change is the way of life... Everything is changing and fleeting.. They say that only Atman is permanent/eternal and therefore seek it.. I want to experience that love which is eternal.. God, show me the path and give me a glimpse of your love for your children. May be, its only wisdom and non-attachment which can lead us to this true, eternal, everlasting love...!
